Despite the similar name, Aada Chautaal is a different taal from Chautaal: Chautaal has 12 beats and is played on the pakhawaj, while Aada Chautaal has 14 and is played on the tabla. Its bols are close to Ektaal's (Dhin, tirakita, Tu Na, Ka Tta). With three khalis (beats 5, 9 and 13) its clap pattern runs X 2 0 3 0 4 0.
